COVID-19

COVID-19

It is our overall aim as a school to keep our children, families and staff team safe and well at all times as we move forward  in relation to COVID-19. It is absolutely crucial that we work together to ensure this aim is fulfilled.  From September 2020 children will be in ‘Year Group Bubbles’ or in the case of Nursery/ Reception an ‘Early Years Bubble’.  This will be made up of your child’s peers, their class teacher and teaching assistant.

  • On arrival children should go straight into their classroom.
  • Parents will not be able to enter classrooms at drop off or pick up. Meetings with teachers when necessary will be by telephone, email or by prior arrangement only.
  • If your child wears a face mask coming to school this should be removed on entering their classroom.  If this is disposable it should be placed in the lidded bin.  If this is reusable please provide a small plastic bag that the mask can be placed in and put into the pocket of your child’s coat.

  • Playtimes will be separate for each bubble.
  • Children will only be allowed to play with children from their bubble.

ATTENDANCE

  • Attendance will be mandatory in September.  If your child has been advised by your GP/ clinician to continue to shield please inform school.

THE SCHOOL OFFICE

  • We ask that Parents/ Carers use ParentPay wherever possible.
  • If Parents/ Carers need to contact the school office this should be done via the phone or email. This will help limit the number of people entering the school building.
  • If entry into school cannot be avoided, only one parent/carer will be allowed in the foyer at a time.  Other parents/ carers should wait outside maintaining social distancing.  Parents/ Carers are asked to be mindful of others who may be waiting.

BLUE BADGES

  • Any parents/carers with blue badges will be asked to park on the front car park as the side road/ car park will be cordoned off to provide a one way system at entry/ exit times.
