GOVERNING BODY CONSTITUTION

The constitution of the Governing Body at Fairway Primary School consists of:

• One Local Authority Governor
• Six Co-opted Governors
• Two Parent Governors
• One Staff Governor
• The Headteacher

All the roles above have voting rights where necessary.

The Governing Body can also agree to have associative governors, however these governors do not hold the right to vote.

The Governing Body meets four times during an academic year.

There are two subcommittees:

• The Resource Committee meets four times a year.
• The Curriculum & Standards Committee meets twice a year.

There is also a Pay Committee which meet once every year.
